Are you actually deaf?

Yes, I was born Deaf. Right now, I wear hearing aids that I have named Fred and George. 

What is the difference between capital ‘D’ deaf and lower case ‘d’ deaf?

Capital D deaf means you have a hearing loss and you sign and is a part of the deaf community. Lower case means just hearing loss, ie your grandma, who wears a hearing aid, but doesn’t sign or a part of the deaf community. 

How can you play cello if you are deaf?

I rely mostly on the feel of sound/vibrations. It’s tricky, but I still manage.
